Going by precedents, the results should be mailed out today. I wish IL did not have to be October. I wonder why the bar examiners seem so rigid? They do not have to wait for a particular time period, once they are through with grading they should release the results. I am getting anxious.

what's IL? Yeah I'm thinking scores should be mailed today... but when do they post them to the web? Today?? Or do they not release results until later?

I figure if the results were mailed yesterday, I should get something in today's mail. I live in Raleigh and mail should be here soon. Has anybody received their results today? Good luck to all!

I find it very frightening that a prospective lawyer doesn't know the abbreviations of our states. What's even more frightening is that, in this day and age, a prospective lawyer doesn't know how to do a quick Google search to obtain very basic and easy-to-find information. Each day this site reveals more truths about the legal field than I am comfortable knowing.

I was expecting my result, but instead got a sealed score letter. There was a CD in the drive of my laptop. Now I have to plead my case.

Sorry to hear that. Did you get your letter today? It sucks that you have to wait, but I'm sure you will be fine. It was an honest mistake. My mail has yet to arrive. Hopefully, we passed.

Got my results today. They just let you know that you passed or not. NC does not release your score unless you failed, and even then you will not get your score for a few weeks.

The letters only say pass or fail as the MBE folks do not complete their deviations until mid-September. So, there are no scores given out with NC letters period. And you will only get a score if you fail and if you request it. Wishing the rest of the NC bar exam takers much luck!

Congrats! Is there just one piece of paper in a business size envelope? What does the 1st paragraph say? Afraid to check results since I failed in Feb.

I was scared too at first! I tried to read it through the envelope and saw "according to our records, you have now satisfied all the requirements in the Board's rules." I figured I couldn't have failed so I opened it. First paragraph is one line...starts with "Congratulations." Take your time opening it and only do it when you feel ready. Good luck!

You want him/her to type first paragraph here? Don't forget that people lie a lot here. There will be a bunch of "Yippie, I passed." Don't let 'em fool you!

I don't understand why people would do that. If they didn't pass then don't post. It's not like we know who they are. smh.

Praise the Lord, I PASSED! I am still shaking, but this time it's for a good reason. I did like msjd2b and read through the envelope. I had my results from the Feb exam, which I failed. I compared the two in the envelope and noticed a difference in the length of the last paragraph. Then I ripped the freakin envelope open because I knew then that I had passed. I fell to the floor and began crying like an idiot. It is an amazing feeling! The pass letter has 5 paragraphs, while the fail letter has 3. And like msjd2b said, it starts with "Congratulations! I am happy to inform you..." The letter tells you that you have satisfied all requirements according to their records; that character and fitness obligations remain in effect; that your license will be mailed; and that you must be sworn in before you can commence practice of law. It ends by saying, "Again, congratulations!" This is truly one of the best days of my life. THANK YOU, JESUS!

Yes, I was convinced I failed because the MBE was soooooo hard. The funny thing is that, last February, I knew I had done very poorly on the essay, but I felt very confident about the MBE. I ended up failing because of the MBE, which I was so confident about. In July, it was the opposite. I didn't feel like I kicked butt on the essay section, but I felt better than I did in February. After I took the MBE in July, I cried. I couldn't understand how these MBE people could find so many different ways to ask the same stuff. During the exam, there were only a handful of questions that I knew that I answered correctly. I walk out of the exam the second day thinking to myself, "screw it". I was convinced I failed. Either I did much better than I thought or there was a MAJOR curve! Either way, I thank God that I passed. I don't want to say don't panic, because a few hours ago I was feeling the same way. But hopefully the fact that I passed will give you some comfort. Best wishes.

Congrats Anxious! I am so happy for you:-) As for the other poster, I came away from Day 1 essays feeling very good about myself. I caught all the hidden tricks and there was only one part of one essay that was not in the Kaplan materials anywhere. Day 2 morning I felt went okay but the afternoon session took me out with an hour left. I was not feeling so confident after Day 2 and crunched numbers up until yesterday because I was certain that I did not break 100 MBE's correct. I honestly felt that if I did not pass, it would be because of the MBE and I prayed...significantly...that my essays would be enough! So to answer your question, felt that the MBE sucked but here I am :-) Good luck...

I failed last July - passed this one! I live in Cary, so I got them fast. I wasn't expecting it so quickly. Last year when I failed it seems I got it a couple days later. My mailman is also an idiot though... Good luck to those who are waiting for results. I passed and felt terrible about the MBE and approx 3 of the essays. Pretty sure I completely blew the Civ Pro and BA essays and still passed. Thank God its over!
