I am a former business owner. I have no bad background. I am about to file for Moral Character/Fitness. Can the bar committee use information on me that it has found from google? A few people have written nasty things about me like I ripped them off, etc., but I was never sued or anything like that. Would this be used against me if the bar committee in CA google searches me?

Does California send a questionnaire to every employer on the form if the employment lasted less than six months? I mean, are they really going to send one to the owner of the summer camp I worked at, at age 19, 6 years ago for 2 months?

not exactly a black and white answer to your question, but simply a data point. Several of my past employers were dot coms that went belly up. I am one hundred percent sure that there is no way bar can get a hold of these companies because they are dead as a rock on mars. And yes, I worked for more than 6 months in at least 2 of them. What i am thinking is that the background search is basically spot checking - if something "doesn't look right," they may dig a bit deeper

So do we put down the supervisor's name and dates worked and all the information on jobs held less than 6 months? Or do we just put the job and where it was located.

i had put down the best (or the last) available contact information. Due to a typo, there seemed to be a 4 month gap in my employment record, so the examiner called. I think she had realized it was a typo, but wanted me to confirm it. She never said anything about not being able to contact any of the defunct past employers. To answer your questions, I believe you have to account for pretty much every month between graduation and now.
