Hi guys,

I'm applying for admission to the New York bar. It seems that the affidavits of good moral character cannot be gotten from
(1) people who are already completing employment affidavits for me
(2) members of the LAW faculty!
(3) and must be reputable persons who have known me for at least 2 years

And I realised that I have no one who knows me well who can write the affidavits for me!!! what a shock to realise that my circle is so limited...

I would like to ask if anyone knows:
(1) I am getting my supervising associate from a law office where I did a brief internship to write my employment affidavit. Is it ok if I get his colleague from the same firm and same department to write the good character affidavit for me?

(2) How about professors from my good ol' undergraduate (non-law) years?

My last resort is my priest. I haven't been to church for the past year or so, so I would have to do a confession before I can even try asking the priest for help. And after that I would feel so so guilty every Sunday :(((
